2012-2013 Academic Year
Earn your AMS Early Childhood Montessori
teaching credential in just ten months.
PLEASE NOTE: ADMTEI is a separate organization from St. Joseph Academy. Although St. Joseph Academy is closing, ADMTEI is open and will remain open to provide high-quality Montessori teacher education.
Program Description:
The ADMTEI Early Childhood Montessori teacher education program is comprised of two basic components.
The academic component of the program consists of 16 weekend meetings spanning a ten month period from late August until mid-May.
Take a look at our CURRENT COURSE CALENDAR to further appreciate how this 10 month program conveniently fits into your busy schedule.
The practicum component of the program enables the student to work in an Early Childhood Montessori prepared environment as an assistant Montessori teacher; one session a day, five days a week, for the duration of an academic year.
The practicum component enables the student to practice in the classroom what they have experienced in the academic environment. While in the classroom, the student teacher will be under the guidance and mentorship of an experienced Montessori Head Teacher.
Each student has the freedom to choose where they perform their practicum study. If you do not have a particular school in mind, let us help you find a qualifying Montessori school in your area.
